I assume this was a parking area if the Poplar Cove Trail was travelable by vehicles some years ago?

After that parking area the Petes Branch Trail branches off to the left

The trail continues to get smaller but it's still pretty good all the way

The sign was destroyed at the beginning of this trail but a short distance up this sign remained

Close to one of the crossings was this interesting little cascade and pool
|
They're not numerous or obvious but blue blazes remain here and there
|
Not a lot of water but it is about 40' tall
