It was one heck of a road though! Steep and right on the edge of an increidble drop off. Multiple falls in NY named Buttermilk, this is just one of them and probably not the most famous one with that name.

Very nice though.

When we hit PA we drove through a forest area called "The Hook". There was more blooming Mountain Laurel here than I have ever seen anywhere.

We saw a rattlesnake in the road here as well as a porcupine. Too dark to get a shot unfortunately though.

Next morning, Front Royal VA and Skyline Drive.

Heading through PA I had intended to check out Bushkill, Raymondskill and a few other falls. There was no water anywhere though, very much a drought in that area so I elected to skip them.

Wildflowers, deer, bear, views. Skyline Drive is quite awesome.
