Hen Wallow Falls

There are two ways to Hen Wallow Falls from either end of the Gabes Mountain Trail. This way is the longer of the two with the other beginning at the Cosby Campground.

7-31-2004 - Attempted the trek to the falls and did not make it as a flash flood began. After 1.5 hours of walking in the rain the creek was up and dangerously close to my car and driving out the first couple hundred yards were very treacherous. Other than the rain it was still a very enjoyable hike through some large trees and amazingly quartz-speckled trails.

Continuing forward is the Albright Grove trail. It is a 0.7mi loop trail through an old growth forest. Past the side trail for the grove this trail eventually connects to the AT.
